Helping Kiwis be good with money is at the heart of what we do

We’ve been helping people and businesses grow and make their goals a reality since we opened our doors in 1861.

Submissions now open for Closed for Good

On 31 August 2016, we’ll be Closed for Good as our staff will be helping out in the community. If you need a helping hand on that day, tell us how we can help your community, charity, school or organisation, by submitting your project by 15 July. Eligibility criteria applies.

Supporting New Zealanders

Getting behind New Zealand charities and organisations and helping them to flourish is an important part of what we do. More about our sponsorships

We’re supporting Plunket to expand its parenting education programme so they can help more new parents across the country.

Cure Kids

As a key partner of Cure Kids, we support their fundraising efforts to help them fund the research to find the cures they need.

Super Rugby

We’re helping to keep and develop our top rugby talent by sponsoring the five New Zealand Super Rugby franchises.

Our history

Step back in time and learn about our banking history over the last 150 years. Or, stop in at our Wellington museum next time you’re in town.

We’re committed to sustainability

Caring for the environment

Our three main buildings have a 5-star environmental rating, and we were the first bank to become carbon neutral. We’re also one of New Zealand's largest Fairtrade workplaces.

Supporting communities

Once a year, we shut our doors and spend the day volunteering in communities across the country. We’re also helping families on low incomes to get low- and no-interest loans as part of our community finance pilot.
