2. Move money across

Once your account is open, you can deposit money into it by making an international payment^. You won’t be able to take money out of your account, but we’ll help you set up Internet Banking so you can view your balance when you log in.

3. Activate your account

When you arrive in New Zealand, you can activate your account by visiting any BNZ branch (no appointment needed). If you’re applying for a joint account, you’ll both need to come in for the account to be activated.
