Changes to bank feed connections to MYOB

We’ve been working with MYOB to simplify the way we set up bank feeds, and to help improve access to transaction data.

Bank feeds are set up and connected automatically within MYOB. This replaces the paper form set-up process.

If you already share your BNZ banking information with MYOB, you’ll need to switch to the new feeds.

Switching to online bank feeds

MYOB will send instructions on how to switch to online feeds, to the primary MYOB subscriber in your organisation.

You’ll need to log in to MYOB, then:

  • go to the Banking menu and choose Manage bank accounts
  • select Reconnect BNZ accounts
  • view ‘Bank feed terms and conditions’, then choose either Decline or Accept
  • if you choose to Accept, you’ll need to select Connect to take you to the secure BNZ login page
  • enter your BNZ access number and password
  • select Authorise, then Confirm
  • match your BNZ accounts to your MYOB account and Save selection
  • select Finish.

Non-BNZ Internet Banking users

All the BNZ accounts you want to share with MYOB must first be linked to your BNZ Internet Banking before you can make the switch. If you’re not currently using Internet Banking, find out:

New MYOB business customers

If you’re a new MYOB business customer, you can visit the MYOB website for instructions on connecting a BNZ account to MYOB.

Benefits of online bank feeds

Secure sharing

The online connection uses our API (Application Programming Interface) technology, which has data security standards and encryption processes built in to help protect your privacy. Third party providers such as MYOB can only use your data with your consent.

About our APIs and open banking

Improved control

You can view your consent for the online bank feed connection from within your BNZ internet banking settings. You’ll be able to cancel that consent at any time, if you no longer want to share your banking information with MYOB.

Visibility of accounts

If you have multiple BNZ term loans or term deposits, you’ll be able to see these as individual accounts within MYOB, rather than a single combined account.
