Setting up the BNZ Mobile app
Our BNZ Mobile app (for iOS and Android) comes with an extra layer of security that keeps your data safe, and lets us know it’s really you doing your banking. The app automatically authenticates when you log in on your device, so you don’t need to use your NetGuard card.
How to set up your app
The first time you use the BNZ Mobile app you’ll either need to enter:
- secure codes we send via SMS and email; or
- co-ordinates from your NetGuard card or token.
These steps are how we confirm it’s you. You’ll only have to do this once, then you can log in using only your password, or your 5-digit PIN, Touch ID, Face ID, or Fingerprint login.
Using multiple devices
You can set up the personal BNZ Mobile app on four devices at a time, and you can set up the business BNZ Mobile app on two devices.
Lost or stolen mobile devices
Call us immediately on 0800 999 269 (or +64 4 494 7153 if you’re overseas) so we can deactivate your BNZ Mobile app. Alternatively, you can deactivate a lost or stolen device from another device you have set up, just go to Manage Devices, under Settings in the BNZ Mobile app.
Keep your NetGuard card or token
Hang on to your NetGuard card or token as you may need it in Internet Banking, or to set up the BNZ Mobile app on a new device. If you use Internet Banking for Business, you’ll need your NetGuard token to login.
