* Arranged Overdraft Margin on application subject to BNZ lending criteria. If you go into unarranged overdraft, including if you go over your arranged overdraft limit, interest at the applicable Overdraft Base Rate (as indicated above) plus a margin of 10.00% p.a. also applies to the debit balance. Arranged and Unarranged Overdraft Fees also apply.

  2. $5 withdrawal fee applies per withdrawal for all subsequent withdrawals per month.  A withdrawal includes transferring your money from your Rapid Save account to one of your other BNZ accounts.

  5. Debit interest charges also apply. Debit interest is calculated daily and is charged monthly.

  6. Payable monthly in arrears for overdrawn balances greater than $20. 

  7. How to be eligible for student benefits:

    To apply for student benefits, you will need to have any income direct credited to your YouMoney account and qualify under either of the following criteria:

    • Full or part time students and apprentices (enrolled in at least one paper per semester, for at least 12 months), while you are studying through an NZQA accredited tertiary provider

    OR

    • Those who have graduated from such a course within the past 12 months.

    Your eligibility for student benefits expires 5 years after you apply, or 2 years after you graduate, unless you reapply, or discontinue studying (in which case you are no longer eligible for the student benefits).

  8. YouMoney customers 18 and under will have their monthly account fee waived. On turning 19 you will be charged a monthly account fee on your YouMoney account. 

  9. YouMoney customers with their NZ Super or foreign equivalent direct credited into a YouMoney account will have their monthly account fee waived. You must inform the bank when this starts occurring.

  10. A month refers to the period from the last business day of the previous calendar month to the second to last business day of the current calendar month. For the month that an account is opened, the opening balance is nil. In order to qualify for bonus interest, a deposit must be made to the account (not including any interest paid) at any time before the end of that month, and must be greater than any withdrawal made. Bonus criteria regarding one withdrawal a month still applies.
