How to get started

Add your card to Google Pay right from the BNZ app.

BNZ Flexi Debit Visa cards: start spending straight away by adding your card before it arrives.
Eligible Visa credit cards: add your card as soon as your physical card has arrived and is activated.

You’ll need a compatible Android device. Check what you need to get set up

Step 1

Download the BNZ app from the Google Play Store. If you haven’t already registered for Internet Banking, you’ll be prompted to do so.

Step 2

Open the app, then tap Menu > Cards > Tap on your eligible card > Add to Google Pay.

Step 3

Follow the prompts, and read and accept the terms and conditions.

How to pay with Google Pay

You can use Google Pay wherever contactless payments are available. Just hold your phone up to the terminal, making sure your phone is awake. Your phone will beep or vibrate when a payment is made, and you’ll receive a notification. When paying in apps or online, there is no need to enter your payment information, just select the Google Pay icon at checkout.
