Cancelling and replacing your card

If your card is lost, stolen, or damaged, you can cancel it and order a replacement in the BNZ app. This includes after you’ve temporarily blocked it. There’s no fee for ordering a replacement card. 

  1. Log in to the BNZ app, tap on Menu and select Cards.
  2. Tap on the card you want to cancel. 
  3. Scroll down and tap Cancel or reissue card.
  4. Select either Lost or stolen card or Damaged card
  5. Check and confirm the postal address for your new card. 
  6. Tap Cancel & replace card or Reissue card to finalise the cancellation.

If you don’t have the BNZ app, you can contact us for help. 

Your new card will arrive within 10 business days. When you get your new card, you’ll need to activate it.

If you still have your old card, you’ll need to destroy it by cutting it in half. If your old card was lost or stolen, you’ll need to update any regular payments linked to it with your new card details.
