Eligibility and enrolment in BNZ Rewards
Eligible BNZ customers are automatically enrolled in the BNZ Rewards programme. You can choose to opt out at any time and opt back in whenever you like.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the BNZ Rewards programme, you must:
- be an individual person, 18 years or older
- hold a personal BNZ bank account
- meet all our current identity verification requirements.
If you meet these criteria, we’ll automatically enrol you and give you access to the BNZ Rewards portal. Once enrolled, you can earn BNZ Points and access special offers.
Opting in or out of BNZ Rewards
Opt out
You can opt out of the BNZ Rewards programme by:
- following the prompts in your BNZ Internet Banking or the BNZ app
- emailing us at RewardsQueries@bnz.co.nz
- calling us on 0800 275 269 from New Zealand or +64 4 931 2809 from overseas.
If you have an Advantage credit card account, you must close or switch all your Advantage credit card accounts before you can opt out of the BNZ Rewards programme. We recommend you redeem any unused BNZ Points at least 10 business days before you opt out or close all your BNZ products. Once you’ve opted out of BNZ Rewards, your existing BNZ Points will be forfeited.
To opt out:
- Log in to Internet Banking or the BNZ app.
- Select BNZ Rewards from the menu.
- Select Opt out.
- Confirm you want to opt out of BNZ Rewards.
Opt in
To opt back in:
- Log in to Internet Banking or the BNZ app.
- Select BNZ Rewards from the menu.
- Select Opt in.
- Confirm you’d like to opt in to the BNZ Rewards programme. Allow 2-3 business days for this to be set up.
