Once you’ve been a KiwiSaver member for at least three years, you may be able to withdraw some of your savings to help you buy your first home.

KiwiSaver provides flexibility to manage and grow your savings for a more comfortable retirement. Once available, you can withdraw all your savings^, or partial amounts to help support you over time.

Transfer or join in minutes
BNZ customers - It’s quicker and easier to join or transfer to the BNZ KiwiSaver Scheme, by logging in to Internet Banking and clicking on ‘Apply now’ in the menu list.
New to BNZ or KiwiSaver - It will only take a few minutes to complete our online application form.

Harbour Asset Management Limited (Harbour) issues and manages the investment products available through BNZ. This includes the BNZ KiwiSaver Scheme, YouWealth, BNZ Term Pie, and Private Wealth Series. BNZ distributes these products.

Experiencing significant financial hardship
If you’re experiencing significant financial hardship and have tried all other reasonable options, you may be able to withdraw all or some of your BNZ KiwiSaver Scheme account balance (with the exception of Government contributions).
