Unforeseen hardship

You may have suffered an event you couldn’t have seen coming - such as illness, injury, loss of employment, the breakdown of a relationship, or the death of a partner or spouse. Talk to us about a loan variation as an option.

Significant financial hardship KiwiSaver withdrawal

Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to withdraw all or some of your available BNZ KiwiSaver Scheme account balance. However, you won’t be able to withdraw any Government contributions.

Please reach out early if you’re experiencing any difficulties. We understand every customer’s circumstances are different, so get in touch for a banking review and we can tailor a solution to help you with your goals. We can talk through your options, which may be one of the following: 

  • a temporary overdraft
  • extending trade credit
  • support with supply chain challenges
  • an online loan of up to $100k with QuickBiz
  • extending term lending periods
  • reducing repayments or moving to Interest Only (on a case-by-case basis).

Good Loans

Together with Good Shepherd, and with support from the Ministry of Social Development, we help families living on limited incomes with no and low interest loans, with no fees. Good Loans are provided on a not-for-profit basis for essential goods and services, like a car to get to work^.

PayNow

We’ve partnered with employment solutions provider, PaySauce, who has developed an innovative solution, PayNow, for the times when payday can’t come soon enough. This allows workers to access their own money in advance rather than turn to predatory lenders.
