The Good and the Not So Good
- Net immigration hitting new highs
- Hefty tourist arrivals via China most of all
- Concrete output keeps levelling off, for now
- October’s trade more weighted to dairy drag

We have a real mixture of New Zealand themes to talk about again this week, covering the good and the not so good. Even within the new record highs posted for net immigration there is inferred added heat on the housing market but upward pressure on the unemployment rate too. The burgeoning tourist arrival numbers, however, are nothing but a pressure on the economy’s resources.
