We’re doing great things
BNZ Great Things is a programme of initiatives that is focused on improving the financial wellbeing of New Zealand, through community support, financial wellbeing tools, and partnerships. We think that makes a bunch of great things.
Helping our communities
Through our partnership with Good Shepherd, we can help families on limited incomes with fee-free, low and no interest loans. Many of the loans are for cars, so people can get to work, or for essential household items. BNZ lending criteria and terms apply.
The Good Shop
With The Salvation Army, we’re helping to deliver The Good Shop, an ethical mobile store that provides access to quality household and personal items, with interest-free finance options for people who need it.

Scam Savvy Week, 26–30 August
Scammers take advantage of good people. That’s why this year we’re helping New Zealanders to get scam savvy so they can feel safer online.
Join our team at BNZ branches and selected shopping centres throughout the country, to find out how to identify scams, what to do when you identify them, and what to do if you’ve been scammed.

Growing digital skills
Our team help customers grow their tech skills by showing them how our digital tools work, and how they can use those tools to manage their everyday finances.
We’re in communities
On 8 August 2018, we went out and shared financial know-how with more than 30,000 people, using specially designed interactive tools. In 2019, we’re aiming to reach even more.
Financial health checks
A big part of our customer experience is understanding what’s important to our customers, now and in the future, then exploring and recommending solutions to help reach their financial goals.
