Our Foreign Currency Widget is the simple, easy way to check foreign currency rates without having to visit a website. With the widget you:

  • Get the latest BNZ foreign currency rates direct to your desktop
  • Never need to ‘refresh’ your browser, the widget automatically updates
  • Convert foreign currency amounts to NZ Dollars and vice versa with the built in FX calculator

How to install the FX widget

Installing the FX widget

To get started, click the ‘Install Now’ button to the right.
Please upgrade your Flash Player to version 9.0.115 or higher.
If you haven’t already got Adobe Air installed, you’ll be prompted to install it. Click ‘Yes’ to accept and install Adobe Air.
After the Adobe Air installer has downloaded, you’ll be asked to agree to install the BNZ Widget. Click ‘Install’ to start this.
You’ll then be asked where you want to install the BNZ Widget. In most cases your computer will suggest a location which will be suitable. If you’re happy with the location suggested, click ‘Continue’, otherwise choose a different location and then click ‘Continue’.
The BNZ Widget will start once the installation has completed.

And it’s all FREE. There is no charge for the widget and no monthly fee. Installation is quick and simple.

Uninstalling the FX widget

Windows
1. Click the ‘Start’ button and select ‘Control Panel’
2. Select ‘Add Remove Programmes’
3. When window appears, select ‘BNZ Widget from the list of installed programmes, and select ‘Uninstall’.		 Mac
1. From the Finder, select the ‘Go’ menu and then ‘Applications’
2. Select the folder ‘bnz’
3. Drag ‘BNZ Widget’ to the Trash

Technical requirements

The widget requires Adobe AIR 1.5 - if you don't have AIR installed, you will be prompted to do so during the BNZ Widget installation process.
