Apply to cover pre-existing medical conditions

When you call to apply for TravelCare, you’ll speak on a confidential basis with a representative of the insurer, IAG, who understands a wide range of medical conditions. They’ll be able to discuss and assess the cover you could need over the phone.

Request cover for special items over $1500

If you plan to travel with valuable items, it’s important to know they’re covered. When you apply for TravelCare, you simply identify anything worth more than $1500 that you’ll be taking with you. Your special items are then written into the policy so you can be certain they’re included, before you leave.

24-hour emergency assistance

Unexpected events aren’t limited to normal business hours. With TravelCare you’ll have the reassurance of knowing emergency assistance is just a phone call away, 24 hours a day. You simply call IAG Emergency Assist on +64 9 969 5550.

Cost-effective peace-of-mind

Because TravelCare can be designed just for you and the trip you have in mind, you’ll only pay for the cover you need. For example, there are three pricing plans based on your choice of travel location. Once everything’s agreed you’ll be given a quote by the insurer to consider before deciding to go ahead.

Comprehensive general cover

To make sure you have the cover you need it’s important to read the policy document carefully before you leave. In the meantime, here are some of the important things that TravelCare covers2: 

  • Baggage and personal effects up to the applicable limit
  • Money and documents up to $1500
  • Reasonable travel delay costs up to $5000
  • Reasonable funeral arrangement costs up to $15,000
  • Third party legal liability up to $2.5 million
