Manage your money from any land line or mobile phone

It costs nothing to register and there's no charge for your first five calls1 every month. After that it's just 50c per call. The usual transaction and personal account and service fees apply but they're often less than through an ATM or one of our stores.

Upgraded services from mid February 2012

A new 'instant balance' feature will give you the balances of your nominated accounts as soon as you've logged in.
There will be fewer keys to press as well, so download and print a new wallet card  PDF 113KB now. You can also order one via phone banking or pick one up from any BNZ store.

Hot Phone Banking tips

  • You get five free calls a month, so make as many transactions as you can with one call.
  • Never tell anyone your PIN or allow it to be stored on any device.
  • Change your PIN regularly using phone banking.
  • Skip ahead to the service you need (e.g. press 2, 1 to transfer funds), once you've confirmed your PIN. You don't need to wait for the voice prompt to finish before making your selection.
  • Having a Phone Banking access number and PIN can make it easier and faster for us to authenticate you when you call the BNZ Contact Centre.
