Who can use MoneyMap?
MoneyMap is available as an add-on to Internet Banking, so personal customers who are registered for Internet Banking can use it.
Do customers with BNZ Internet Banking automatically get MoneyMap?
Not automatically – you'll need to sign up for MoneyMap, but it's easy to do and only takes a few minutes.
I see that Xero is involved with MoneyMap, who are Xero?
Xero was founded in July 2006 by successful technology entrepreneur Rod Drury and specialist small business accountant Hamish Edwards. They're listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange, and are an award winning company with offices in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom and with customers in over 50 countries.
We've been working with them for a few years now, and have partnered to develop an easy-to-use online tool to help our personal customers keep track of their money and achieve their financial goals.
What BNZ accounts can I have in MoneyMap?
Any transactional account, savings account or credit card that you currently access in Internet Banking can be in MoneyMap. Transactions from these accounts will be transferred at the end of each business day. You can also add Assets and Debt items to give you a more accurate Net Worth.
Can I cancel my MoneyMap registration?
Yes. Click on the ‘Manage registration’ link in the top right panel on your Internet Banking homepage.
If I have a joint account can both account holders have the account in MoneyMap?
No, a joint account can only be registered for MoneyMap by one account holder.
Can I import transaction files for accounts or credit cards I have with other banks?
Yes – Provided you can download the transactions from the other bank and save them in CSV, OFX or QIF format. You can then upload them into MoneyMap.
If I'm having problems with MoneyMap who do I contact?
Technical support for MoneyMap is provided by Xero. There is a comprehensive online Help Centre on the Xero website, with the option to email the Xero Personal support team in the event that these resources do not answer all your questions.
My account transactions are sent to MoneyMap. How secure is it?
MoneyMap is very secure. All transactions and account information is encrypted when it is sent to MoneyMap.
Will MoneyMap cost?
MoneyMap will be free to personal Internet Banking customers for the first three months, and after that it's $5 a month (GST inclusive).
How do I manage which BNZ accounts and credit cards are in MoneyMap?
When you register you'll be asked to choose which BNZ accounts and credit cards you want in MoneyMap. You can add or remove accounts and credit cards at a later time by clicking on the 'Manage registration' link in the top right hand panel on your Internet Banking homepage.
Can I use MoneyMap with my Xero Business Account?
Yes you can, provided you're a BNZ Personal Internet Banking customer, and register for MoneyMap with the same email address you use for Xero Business.
When you log in to Internet Banking you can go straight through to MoneyMap, and access your Xero Business account from there. You can also log in to Xero, and look at both your Xero Business Account and MoneyMap.
Can I use MoneyMap with IE6?
Yes you can, but it's best viewed on IE8 or FireFox.
