Operating System Windows 2000 Service pack 2 (or above)
Windows XP Service Pack 1 (or above)
Internet Browser Microsoft Internet Explorer v 5.5 +
Java Plugin Sun Java Runtime Environment v 1.5.0_06
Temporary Internet Files folder  50 MB+
Screen Resolution A screen resolution of 1024 x 768 is preferred
Internet Access Broadband internet access is recommended


Sun Java

For the correct operation of eFX Dealing, it is recommended that you have Sun Java 1.5.0_06 installed. You can download the required version of Sun Java plugin®* from the Sun Java® website.

Download time for the Sun Java plugin download can vary significantly depending on the speed of your internet connection. Approximate size of file is 16Mb; download time is likely to vary between 3 and 40 minutes.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Microsoft Explorer options need to be configured to ensure full functionality. The "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts" checkbox must be unticked.
To do this:

  1. Click on Internet Explorer icon in Windows Start Menu
  2. Select "Internet Options" in the "Tools" menu
  3. Select "Advanced" tab
  4. Scroll through the options to find "Reuse Windows for Launching Shortcuts" and ensure it is un-ticked
  5. Click "OK" at the bottom of the popup box.
