We won’t ping you for banking with us

When you’re a student you don’t want the bank taking a cut every time you use your money. With Campus Pack, no matter how many transactions you make, or how small they are, we won't charge you transaction fees or a monthly base fee. The usual service and facility fees still apply for things like setting up an automatic payment or having an overdraft.

Get your StudentCard for free

If you open a Campus Pack account and you make a deposit, we’ll give you a free StudentCard3. You'll save $20 on the cost of a card and get discounts for the rest of the year on things like fast food, movies, power bills, clothes and taxis.

Online shopping or a personal loan to see you through

If you want to shop online or pay for any unexpected expenses or simply take a sanity break, Campus Pack lets you apply for:

Manage your money whenever and however

With Campus Pack there’s no limit to how you can manage your money. Telephone and internet banking, ATMs, EFTPOS and BNZ tellers are all included. You also have the option of direct debits and bill payments, plus you can choose to have income paid directly into your account. It's up to you.

Avoid nasty surprises - get text or email alerts

You can set alerts5 to tell you when a transaction has gone through, how much money you have or when you’re nearing your limit. And by setting ‘do not disturb’ times you won’t be woken up by an alert. Our Internet Banking service puts you in control of your alerts; you can change them as often as you choose.

Legals

  1. This includes transactions through BNZ ATMs, internet banking, telephone banking, EFTPOS, automatic payments,bill payments, direct debits, direct credits, and staff assisted transactions. Service fees and fees for telegraphic transfers apply.
  2. Lending criteria apply. You must be 18 years or over and be a permanent NZ resident to apply for an overdraft, personal loan or credit card. Up to $1,000 interest free overdraft for first year students, $1,500 for second year students and $2,000 for third and subsequent year students.
  3. StudentCard offer available to active Campus Pack account customers. To be an active user you must activate your PIN and make at least one transaction per month. StudentCard terms and conditions apply.
  4. A $10 annual card fee applies.  Fee subject to change.
  5. Text Alerts cost 25c.
  6. Fees are charged on the last business day of each calendar month and are based on the period between the last business day of the previous calendar month and the second to last business day of the current month, inclusive.
  7. Payments into your account from other parties by way of BNZ Internet Banking, Automatic Payment or ATM are classed as Electronic Transactions.
  8. Government stamp duty of 5 cents per cheque will be charged to the account when the cheque book has been issued. Chequebook facility fee of $1.00 per month applies.
  9. Debit interest charges may apply, minimum charge $1.00.

* Although the Telephone and Internet Banking and ATM services will normally be available 24 hours a day, maintenance of the system is required from time to time. Accordingly, certain options may not be available for an average of three hours a week. This maintenance, however, will be carried out at times which will cause the least disruption to you.

To be eligible for Campus Pack, you must be studying at least part time (enrolled in at least one paper per semester), for a minimum of one year at an NZQA-accredited tertiary institution, and have your income credited directly into your Campus Pack account.
