Talk to us

Staying in touch with our communities is important to us.

By listening to people and working together on important projects, we can make the most of our efforts to build stronger communities and protect the environment. That’s why we encourage feedback, hold regular workshops with community groups and look for opportunities to work alongside each other on projects of mutual interest.

Community engagement

Community consultation workshops

We aim to hold an annual community engagement workshop with different sectors of the community to better understand the important issues for New Zealand and the environment. If you would like to know more about these workshops please email our Sustainable Development team.

Working together on projects of mutual interest

Here are some recent examples of how we work with our communities:

  • We engaged with local Auckland iwi, Ngati Whatua, on a blessing ceremony for our new building at Quay Park
  • We worked closely with the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind to ensure their members were adequately informed of upcoming changes to our internet banking services
  • We worked with Age Concern New Zealand and the Retirement Commission on an education and public awareness project to help prevent financial abuse as a form of elder abuse and neglect
  • We have participated in several community workshops and summits dedicated to raising financial literacy levels in New Zealand
