it to shop online or over the phone to buy stuff like, takeaways, music,
or travel, as if it were a credit card. But it's linked to your BNZ
everyday
or savings
account, so you're using your own money and you're in control.

Flexi Debit Visa has a low $10 annual fee2 and just like all of our cards,
you're protected against fraud if your card is stolen (provided you've
complied with your card and PIN security and notification obligations
in your Flexi Debit Visa card terms and conditions).
How
to use Flexi Debit Visa
Flexi Debit Visa can be used like an EFTPOS card and a credit card,
depending on where you are and what you're buying. At home, if you're
using an ATM or buying something in store, you'd use your Flexi Debit
Visa just like an EFTPOS card. When you're overseas1
you'd use it like a credit card. And if you're buying something online
or over the phone, you'd also use your Flexi Debit Visa like a credit
card.
Here's a breakdown
- New Zealand
EFTPOS & ATMs – Select ‘CHQ' or ‘SAV'. Enter
your PIN.
- Overseas
Purchases & ATMs – Select ‘CREDIT'. Enter your PIN
or sign receipt. Just like a credit card.1
- Online, Phone and Mail Order
Select Visa. Enter or provide your Flexi Debit Visa card number.
Enter or provide the card's expiry date. Enter or provide the
3-digit security number on the back of your card.3
Many retailers will also ask for a Verified by Visa password when
you make purchases online. Register your Flexi Debit Visa Card at Verified
by Visa and feel more secure when shopping online. You will
only need to register once to obtain your password.
