All you need in one pack
BNZ's Graduate Pack has been specifically designed with your needs in mind. It gives you an account with competitive fees and you can apply for an interest-free Overdraft of up to $2,000 (first year only), to help you meet those unexpected expenses. You can also apply for an Advanced Personal Loan at a discounted interest rate; choose from a range of Credit Card options, as well as insurance, savings and investment products.

Transaction Account

To be eligible for Graduate Pack you must:

  • Have graduated from or successfully completed a tertiary level course within the last 12 months
  • For lending, you must be in full time employment, over the age of 18 (16 if married), a permanent New Zealand resident and have your income credited to your BNZ Graduate account

If you don’t already have a BNZ account you’ll need to bring into a BNZ store confirmation of your course completion or evidence of your graduation within the last 12 months. Also, for lending applications, you’ll need evidence of full time employment and evidence of your New Zealand residency if you have arrived here in the last five years.

If you don't already have a BNZ account you’ll also need to bring in two forms of suitable I.D. (at least one must be a Photo I.D., such as a passport or driver's licence11).

1. A month refers to the period from the last business day of the previous calendar month to the second to last business day of the current calendar month.
2. Electronic transactions include BNZ ATM, Internet and Telephone Banking, EFTPOS, Bill Payments, Automatic Payment, Direct Debits and Direct Credits.
3. Bill Payment and Automatic Payment Establishment and Amendment fees, ATM Recovery, Credit Card current charges, and High User Telephone Banking Service Fees still apply. Fees for other services you use may also be charged to your Graduate Pack account. For more information about our standard fees, please ask for our Personal Account, Service and Facility Fees brochure from your nearest store.
4. Manual transactions include staff assisted transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, and deposits made using our Express Deposit Towers. A manual transaction fee of $1.25 per transaction applies.
5. Although the Telephone and Internet Banking services will normally be available 24 hours a day, maintenance of the system is required from time to time. Accordingly, certain options may not be available for an average of three hours a week. This maintenance however will be carried out at times which will cause the least disruption to you.
6. On expiry individual Graduate Pack customers with a confirmed date of birth of less than 30 years of age recorded with BNZ will roll to Smart Money. Individual Graduate Pack customers aged 30 years and over will roll to MyMoney. Individual Graduate Pack customers with no date of birth recorded with BNZ will roll to MyMoney. Joint Graduate Pack customers will roll to MyMoney.
7. Subject to our normal lending criteria.
8. You will receive a copy of the BNZ current terms and conditions for Advanced Personal Loans or Credit Cards (as applicable). Signing or using your card or drawing down on your loan indicates acceptance of the terms and conditions which may be amended from time to time.
9. No Fly Buys points can be collected as part of the Graduate Pack Advanced Personal Loan.
10. Fly Buys terms and conditions apply. Fly Buys collection rates are subject to change without notice.
11. Examples of photo ID include passport, drivers licence, or NZ University Student ID.
   
 The Bank’s normal lending criteria and account opening criteria apply. A current disclosure statement may be obtained free of charge from any store or agency of the Bank.
